This Privacy Notice explains how the VacayWellness (“VacayWellness”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes personal information (as defined below) in connection with our website https://www.vacaywellness.com/ and the related content, platform, services, products, and other functionality offered on or through our services (collectively, the “Services”). Personal information is not defined as protected health information under HIPAA. VacayWellness does not collect protected health information, as defined by HIPAA, of its customers at any point. 

VacayWellness is the controller of the personal information we hold about you in connection with your use of the Services. This means that we determine and are responsible for how your personal information is used.

Collecting Personal Information

When you visit the Site, we collect certain information about your device, your interaction with the Site, and information necessary to process your purchases. We may also collect additional information if you contact us for customer support. In this Privacy Policy, we refer to any information that can uniquely identify an individual (including the information below) as “Personal Information”. Device information

  • Examples of Personal Information collected: version of web browser, IP address, time zone, cookie information, what sites or products you view, search terms, and how you interact with the Site.
  • Purpose of collection: to load the Site accurately for you, and to perform analytics on Site usage to optimize our Site.
  • Source of collection: Collected automatically when you access our Site using cookies, log files, web beacons, tags, or pixels.

Order information

  • Examples of Personal Information collected: name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers, email address, and phone number.
  • Purpose of collection: to provide products or services to you to fulfill our contract, to process your payment information, arrange for shipping, and provide you with invoices and/or order confirmations, communicate with you, screen our orders for potential risk or fraud, and when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
  • Source of collection: collected from you.
  • Disclosure for a business purpose: shared with our site processor WordPress and payment processor Stripe. The payment processor’s use of your personal information is governed by their privacy notice.

Customer support information

  • Purpose of collection: to provide customer support.
  • Source of collection: collected from you.

Marketing information

  • Purpose of collection: We use this information to manage our communications with you and send publications highlighting services we offer, any sales on those services, and tips to promote your health and wellness. If you wish to stop receiving email messages from us, simply click the “unsubscribe link” provided at the bottom of the email communication. Note that you cannot unsubscribe from certain services-related email communications (e.g., account verification, technical or legal notices).

Survey information

  • Purpose of collection: We may collect feedback you provide relating to our Services. We use this information to communicate with you, to conduct market research, inform our marketing and advertising activities and improve and grow our business.

SECTION 1 - WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?

When you purchase a service or product from our website and store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.

When you browse our website and store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our services, your booking, and other updates.

Text marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send text messages about your booking. Updates include Medical Service protocol reminders and more. 

Minors

The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not intentionally collect Personal Information from children. If you are the parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us at the email address below to request deletion.

Our payment processor Stripe uses limited automated decision-making to prevent fraud that does not have a legal or otherwise significant effect on you.

Services that include elements of automated decision-making include:

  • Temporary denylist of IP addresses associated with repeated failed transactions. This denylist persists for a small number of hours.
  • Temporary denylist of credit cards associated with denylisted IP addresses. This denylist persists for a small number of days.
